**Position Overview**: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to support our transit bus operation. The Assistant General Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Operational Leadership**: Assist in the management of all aspects of transit bus operations, including scheduling, dispatching, fleet maintenance, and driver supervision.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing transit operations, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- **Strategic Planning**: Collaborate with the Corporate Team to develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, improve service quality, and meet performance metrics.
- **Staff Development**: Provide leadership and mentorship to supervisors, dispatchers, mechanics, and drivers, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and professionalism.
- **Customer Service Excellence**: Champion a customer-centric approach, focusing on enhancing the passenger experience, resolving complaints, and implementing service improvements.
- **Risk Management**: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of passengers, employees, and the public.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in transit operations management, including supervisory experience.
- In-depth knowledge of transit industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in transit scheduling software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement.
- Clean driving record.
