**General Summary**: The Director of Network Development is responsible for the execution of the dental and vision network recruitment strategy. This position directly supervises the network recruitment teams and the provider advocates, managing the teams to execute and deliver on the recruitment goals for the dental PPO and vision networks.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Partners with leadership to critically examine and design the long-term provider recruitment strategy and options for strategic relationships to maintain and provide a comprehensive dental and vision network solution for our customers.
- Partners with the distribution team to position the strength of the dental and vision networks to brokers and customers, and to recruit behind disruption reports and identified critical needs.
- Partner with the DHMO team to recruit providers into the California DHMO network, sharing best practices, training and strategy.
- Maintains and understands competitive data on the top national dental and vision networks, as well as at the market specific level in partnership with the distribution team.
- Stay abreast of and implement Federal and State regulatory and legislative changes impacting network providers, the recruitment process, and strategic relationships.
- Recommend areas for improvement in the recruitment process, workflows, and overall provider experience.
- Identifies gaps in network composition and work with leadership to close the gap through recruitment or strategic partnership, or a combination.
- Analyze provider contracts and the provider manual periodically to ensure compliance with state regulations and requirements and improve the provider experience.
- Collaborate with compliance to monitor and maintain compliance with applicable network adequacy standards.
- Assist leadership with provider related committees.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in network management and recruitment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen effectively, persuasive negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate strategic and technical issues to individuals and in presentations to groups.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, analytical skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet assigned deadlines
