06/10/2024**Monona Grove School District**: Monona Grove School District has an opening for a Summer Groundskeeper/Custodian; position begins approximately June 10, 2024 and ends approximately August 23, 2024.
**Overview**:
The Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Summer Groundskeeper/Custodian. The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine custodial duties and provide grounds and site care at various schools.
- Maintain interior and exterior of buildings as needed, including raking, window washing, mowing, trimming, painting, etc.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Operate all types of grounds equipment to maintain sites.
- Operate trucks, tractors, and blowers.
- Perform duties as an assistant to the District Grounds/Maintenance staff.
- Perform special custodial projects.
- Attend work regularly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to keep records of work performed; accountability is required.
- Above average mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to do heavy lifting, climbing and working under adverse conditions both indoors and outdoors is required.
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to relate well to athletic staff, public and students.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices.
- Current college students/graduating high school seniors preferred (age 18 or older).
