**Position Summary**
- The Student Success Navigator at Roosevelt University provides support of the grant-funded student success initiatives in the areas of data analysis, survey design and reporting. In addition, the Student Success Navigator will work with the grant team to grow internship opportunities and other career preparation workshops for STEM students. The Student Success Navigator will identify patterns, risk factors and opportunities that will help in the delivery of interventions to support student retention and degree completion. This position will help to oversee the communication strategies of grant initiatives with the Roosevelt University community and university partners.The Division of Student Success at Roosevelt University intentionally works to create and maintain a culture of collaboration built around quality service initiatives that meet the needs and demands of our diverse student population. This position will report to the Vice Provost for Student Success.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**

**Certification/Licensure Required**

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in education, higher education, ethnic studies, science, environment, social science, or related field.
- Experience working in data collection for a Federal grant or in a higher education setting.
- Ability to carry out complex assignments without detailed instructions; strong organizational skills and the ability to plan, coordinate, and initiate actions necessary to implement administrative, group decisions or recommendations.
- Ability to make independent decisions; exercise sound judgment; communicate ideas effectively in both written and verbal formats and with a diverse student, faculty, staff and community is essential.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Two years of experience in student programming within a higher education institution or related student programming in retention efforts.
- Strong analytical and data management skills, including working with statistical software packages and relevant components of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel) to combine, clean, summarize, and produce reports from multiple data sets.

- Standard office equipment (computer, copier, phone, etc)

**Working Conditions**
- Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds of weight or pressure). Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand/wrist movement and repetition. Moderate level of stress.
