**Position Overview**

The Associate Operations Laboratory Coordinator will provide world class service and support for laboratory functions across manufacturing sciences and quality control teams. In this highly collaborative role, the Associate Operations Laboratory Coordinator will assist in the management of laboratory spaces, equipment, and materials required for daily activities across GMP and non-GMP laboratory spaces for product support, pipeline, design transfer, and quality control.

**Essential Duties**

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Assist in coordinating laboratory operations for the manufacturing sciences, product support, technical transfer, and quality control teams.
- Support aspects of design transfer, such as, equipment sourcing, implementation, training, and pilot and/or test method reagent manufacturing.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and consumables, such as, raw materials, intermediates, disposables, and spare parts.
- Procure equipment and support metrology and validation teams during installation, calibration, and qualification activities
- Author standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, lab procedures, and other quality documentation required for new or pre-existing equipment.
- Perform equipment maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate vendor service.
- Coordinate with other departments for equipment installation or relocation.
- Support preparation of samples, formulate non-commercial reagents, and assist with the production of assay controls.
- Monitor labs for compliance with safety requirements and attend safety committee meetings, as required.
- Perform daily work assignments accurately and in a safe and timely manner.
- Ability to design basic experimental plans and interpret technical data.
- Ability to effectively communicate with multi-level personnel as well as outside vendors and their representatives.
- Ability to work effectively in team situations as well as independently.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and within a workgroup to meet business objectives.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to project schedules and timelines in a fast-paced, frequently changing, and evolving environment.

- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work seated for approximately 70% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 30% of a typical working day.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 10% of a typical working day.
- Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.
- Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
- Ability to use various types of laboratories equipment, including centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, thermal cycles, pipettes, and balances for extended periods of time.
- May be exposed to, blood, tissue, stool, or other human specimen samples.
- Ability and means to travel between local Exact Sciences locations.
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or field as outlined in the essential duties.
- 2+ years of experience with medical device products in a cGMP manufacturing and/or technical role.
- Demonstrated familiarity with database, spreadsheets, and basic statistical analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated success working within a CFR 820, ISO 13485, and/or cGMP structured environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of common laboratory skills and techniques with a base knowledge in chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology.
- Demonstrated understanding of IVD product manufacturing processes, biochemical, molecular, and real-time-PCR assays.
- Demonstrated success with the operation of centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, thermal cyclers, pipettes, and balances.
- Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of simple laboratory tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
