**Responsibilities**:
Meritage Homes in conjunction with Carefree Title Agency, Inc. is hiring an **Assistant** **Escrow Officer in Scottsdale, AZ**

The Assistant Escrow Officer is responsible for establishing new escrow accounts and processing escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Open new builder escrows in Qualia system, which includes initial entry of contract information
- Order statements from HOA Management Companies, upload to files company wide
- Deposit incoming wires, review Stop Payment requests, Set up outgoing wires
- Upload and process all items received through Qualia Work Queues
- In Office
- Perform administrative and clerical duties to assist in the escrow process
- Adhere to the rules and regulations of escrow within all operations

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-4 years of escrow experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret purchase agreements
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees of organization
- Team oriented with the ability to work independently
