Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
- Identify and define system security requirements and advise on necessary changes.
- Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs.
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
- Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents.
- Respond to information security issues during each stage of a project’s lifecycle.
- Supervise changes in software, hardware, facilities, telecommunications, and user needs.
- Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies.
- Analyze and advise on new security technologies and program conformance.
- Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors, etc. to provide technical assistance and support.
- Comply with the Performance Work Statement Section 5.1.4, attached documents, and all other requirements listed in the solicitation..

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as an Information Security Specialist or related role.
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
- Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and Data Loss Prevention.
- Analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls.
- A relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Terms of Contract:

- This is a full-time position for the duration of 10 months under a Firm Fixed Price contract.
- Work must be performed at the designated destination as required.
