This position serves as an Information Technology (IT) Cybersecurity Specialist 1st Network Bn. and reports directly to the Supervisory Information Technology Specialist 2210- GS-13. Incumbent is responsible for the execution and oversight of 1st Network Bn. enterprise-level actions that facilitate continuation of Marine Corps Enterprise Network services. Incumbent is responsible for providing network security, risk management planning, and technical oversight for Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) assignments and projects in the Western region which encompasses all Marine Installations that the 1st Network Bn. Provides Information Technology services to the customers that work on those Bases, Posts and Stations. The scope of functional responsibilities encompasses all program phases, to include preparing and maintaining the currency of policy and process guidelines, supporting the design and implementation of effective network security design elements, providing oversight for network security operations, and assessing the effectiveness of implemented Enterprise MCEN-N/S security features and operations.
