Connected to The Crowne Plaza Boston-Woburn, our sports bar is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We offer 50 seats at our bar and can hold up to 300 people With over 40 TVs throughout the room, you'll be sure to see the highlight of every game We also offer Keno machines, karaoke on Thursdays and live bands Friday and Saturday nights This is a popular sports bar for Boston area residents. **Job Overview**

The Events and Entertainment Manager is a natural-born people person and an incredible communicator. You throw parties people can’t stop talking about. You find interesting people, picture-perfect places and create clever details with ease. You’re happiest with a run-of-show clipboard, juggling both the big picture and the most granular details. You ensure events are successful, paying attention to budget and time constraints. The Event and Entertainment Manager books and implements events that take place for Scoreboard Sports Bar and Grille and The Crowne Plaza Boston Woburn. This includes developing budgets, working with and building relationships with contractors, and managing with the operations team all onsite details during events. This position also books and manages all live entertainment and vendors as necessary.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Create and execute concepts for marketing and events in the field and at Scoreboard, which includes a variety of experiential events, festivals, entertainment from pre-planning to day-of execution.
- Go on sales call to drive some after work activities, fundraisers, holiday parties, Birthday, retirement, cocktail parties. Working with our sales and marketing team.
- Partner with Operations and Sales on developing compelling event concepts, marketing strategies, creative materials, props and promotional items.
- Collaborate with the team on developing marketing events at Scoreboard to increase visits, sales and customer engagement.
- Plan events from start to finish with operations Team according to requirements, target audience, and objectives, ensuring that events are in line with marketing campaign themes and brand voice.
- Be the first point of contact for all event-related correspondence and ensure previously planned items are executed and events remain on budget.
- Report on budget forecast and actual results with regards to cost and revenue generation.
- Assist with the team during events, including but not limited to, hosting, bussing, customer engagement, etc.
- Help drive event marketing through social media, visual brand experience, POS, and co-marketing efforts through AAM15 Marketing channels.
- Build localized relationships with relevant communities and local media.
- Be a Scoreboard champion and act as a community liaison as needed, with a firm grasp of the property’s vision, brand, history, community involvement and Company portfolio.
- Respond to inbound requests from artists/their management and work directly with agents/managers to coordinate talent offers and booking.
- Work directly with talent/bands, agents, managers and to coordinate onsite production and hospitality.
- Confirm entertainment and events calendar and work with other team members to ensure ticketing, announcements, sale dates, and marketing are coordinated.
- Coordinate and oversee teams prior to and throughout events.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What your background looks like**:

- One to three years of professional experience in event planning is preferred.
- Advanced public speaking and communication skills with an understanding of marketing and promotion techniques.
- Versatile communicator, able to relay the big picture along with tactics and accountabilities to individuals and groups.
- Previous experience in booking a wide variety of vendors inclusive of production and on-brand creative vendors, such as bands, artists, crafters, etc.
- Social Media experience with a focus on content creation for event/media promotion is a plus.
- Maintains a functioning vehicle and has a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Weekends and holidays will be required in the case of some events.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Exceptional ability to manage details and to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and to anticipate next steps or needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or public relations is preferred; significant professional experience in the field may be considered.
- A love of hospitality and an understanding of food and beverage product is strongly preferred.
