**Assistant Project Manager
Overview

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate in developing annual company goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with overall organizational strategy.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages open communication, collaboration, and teamwork among project teams.
- Review and evaluate purchase orders, submittals, and contracts, maintaining a comprehensive change order log to track modifications.
- Manage project billing for all active jobs, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing until the end of the period.
- Process time and material vouchers, accurately documenting and tracking project-related expenses.
- Develop Method of Procedures (MOPs) in a timely manner, providing clear and detailed instructions for project execution.
- Monitor and track project progress against established milestones, taking proactive measures to address any delays or issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication regarding project status, changes, and updates.
- Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address concerns, and provide guidance to the project team.
- Continuously assess and improve project management processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical contracting industry, with a focus on project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large commercial projects across diverse sectors, showcasing the ability to handle complex and multifaceted projects.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including construction processes, codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Previous experience in electrical estimating, with the ability to accurately assess project costs and prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Strong computer proficiency, including advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with software such as Viewpoint, Cosential, and McCormick is highly desirable.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to take decisive actions when needed.
- Deep commitment to safety, promoting a zero-incident mindset and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving project goals and exceeding client expectations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and standards related to project management.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) and knowledge of electrical construction are advantageous.
