Freight Broker

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Freight Broker to join our team. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods for our clients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, shippers, and customers
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing
- Coordinate the movement of freight from origin to destination
- Track shipments and provide updates to clients as needed
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) for data entry and documentation
- Generate leads for new business opportunities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the shipping process
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations

**Skills**:

- Proficient in using Toro transportation management systems (TMS)
- Strong inside sales skills, with the ability to generate leads and close deals
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Familiarity with dispatching and routing processes
- Ability to negotiate contracts and rates with carriers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sales management experience is a plus

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
