Overview:
To exceed the expectations of our Employee Benefits customers by performing a variety of duties to meet their insurance service needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete service requests of customers, including but not limited to, change of participants, change of plans, change of plan designs, billing inquiries, coverage inquiries, claims inquiries and assisting customer in obtaining identification card issuance.
- Assist in marketing of renewals as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all carrier plan designs and have the ability to clearly explain/sell new business and recommend enhancements to current customers.
- Process all in-coming and out-going mail
- Assist clients in COBRA administration.
- Prepare enrollment kits and assist with enrollment meetings.
- Assist with the preparation of proposal packages.
- Assist the Accounting Department with reconciliation of commission statements.
- Maintain data base in AMS/Benefit Point for all customers and prospects.
- Review and maintain current suspense system.
- Identify account rounding and up selling opportunities.
- Provide administrative support as requested by Producers and other Sales-related staff members.
- Provide accurate, thorough and timely quotes to small employers (less than 5) for various benefit programs.
- Assist and attend Employee Benefit Seminars.
- Additional duties as assigned by Management.
- Other Benefits Department related duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

- An Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Licensed life insurance agent or ability and willingness to obtain license within one year of assignment.
- Proven customer service and sales skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
