**JOB SUMMARY
Promotes patient safety and comfort through one-to-one monitoring or continual patient observation and care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

**Key areas of responsibility**
- Provides constant or close observation of the patient(s).
- Maintains clean, safe and orderly environment conducive to patient safety and comfort. Adheres to infection control policy as required.
- Communicates critical patient behaviors and needs to clinical staff and/or nursing staff as necessary.
- Provides patient care to the extent allowed by the individual's clinical training and expertise and/or delegated by a registered nurse.
- Performs other related duties as required

**Qualifications**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
**Education**: Successful completion of HHC orientation

**Experience**: No experience required, training provided on-site.

**Licensure, Certification, Registration**: Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

**Language Skills**: Must be able to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information in English.
