Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a full time Team Coordinator to join our Emergency Room Team in a leadership role.

**Position and Department Overview**
- Full Time; 40 hours per week
- Night Shift
- 37 bed unit to include a dedicated 5-bed Behavioral Health Safe Suite located within the department.
- More than 53K visits per year (approximately 150 patients/day)

This position shares, with the manager, the 24/7 responsibility for the daily operations including:

- Supervising patient care services staff to ensure patient safety.
- Providing high quality outcomes and an exceptional patient/family experience.
- Developing and monitoring of the department budget.
- Coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes.
- Serving as a technical/clinical resource to team members
- Performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff.
- Assisting the manager with interviewing, hiring, developing, and retaining staff members with the goal of developing a highly reliable work team.
- May coordinate and/or assist with staff education, orientation and precepting of members of the team. Our Team of clinically expert and caring professionals includes board-certified surgeons and specialty-certified nurses. Together with support staff, we ensure the safety of the patient and the safety of our staff.

**Minimum Requirements**

**_ Experience_**
- Nursing Leadership: Previous experience
- Nursing: 2 years

**_ Education_**
- BSN

**_ License_**
- Virginia or Multistate Registered Nurse license in good standing
