As a Logistics Specialist at Baier Automotive Logistics, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of our logistics services. You will be responsible for managing dispatching, pricing, carrier relations, key performance indicators (KPIs), service levels, and reporting back to the VP of Operations. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities will be critical to our success.

Dispatch Management: Coordinate the dispatch of vehicles and automotive components to ensure timely deliveries, while optimizing routes and minimizing costs.

Pricing: Collaborate with the VP of Operations to develop pricing strategies that remain competitive and profitable.

Carrier Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers to ensure dependable service and capacity.

KPI Monitoring: Continuously track and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.

Service Level Management: Monitor service levels to meet or exceed customer expectations, proactively addressing any issues that may arise.

Reporting: Generate and provide regular reports to the VP of Operations, highlighting performance, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Proven experience in logistics management, with a strong understanding of dispatching and carrier relations.

Proficiency in using logistics management software and tools.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Highly organized with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
