**SCHEDULE**
Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8am - 5pm
Hours Per Shift: 8
Shifts Per Pay Period: 10

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

Interact with the public, in person and over the telephone and respond to public inquiries in a tactful and courteous manner while providing quality customer service. Assist colleagues whenever necessary.
- Access, enter, update and retrieve data ensuring accuracy and validity of information on specialized Circuit Court Automation Project (CCAP).
- Maintain electronic and paper records ensuring information is organized and easily accessible. Handle confidential documents ensuring they remain secure.
- Manage schedules and deadlines.
- Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations.
- Answer phones and route calls, while providing information to the public regarding Clerk of Courts and general topics.
- Enter future court dates from 8:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. calls.
- Receipt for fines, costs, and fees paid.
- Provide work excuses to excused jurors.
- Open, record, and process all criminal e-files and mail.
- Prepare daily calendars, pull and distribute accordingly.
- Prepare criminal documents.
- Prepare cash, surety, or property bonds for defendants in criminal/traffic cases.
- Prepare and schedule bail forfeiture hearings.
- Backup the Deputy Criminal Clerk.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Demonstrate a commitment to county safety and risk management efforts.

**Education and/or Experience**
- High school diploma or equivalent competencies, and two to three years of relevant prior experience. Proven experience in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Proven experience in computing rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Previous experience working with legal terminology.

- This position has authority to make decisions that are within general procedures and protocols; supervision is available as required or requested. These decisions directly impact performance in the job and/or work unit within the department and information is provided to others for their decision making.

- In relation to established procedures, protocols and policies of the County, challenges of this position tend to be routine and primarily related to procedure and process issues.
