**Pay Grade: Paraprofessional Level 3**

**Primary Purpose**:
Provide clericalsupport to the Special Services Office and maintain a functional Special Education Resource System.

**Qualifications**:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED

**Special Knowledge/Skills**:
Proficient skills in keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Basic math skills

Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases and do wordprocessing

**Experience**:
One-year clerical experience in office setting.

**Major Responsibilities and Duties**:
**Clerical**
- Maintain the Special EducationResource System with supervision fromDirector.
- Conduct needs assessment ofstaff and make recommendations to the Director.
- Recommend vendors for materials to be purchased, and with approval enter requisition.
- Request quotesfromvendors as needed.
- Maintain and keep current catalogs. - Maintain a retrievalsystem.
- Label all materials as required using federal,state, and/or local numbers, district/SERS name, accession numbers and district/Equipmentnumbers.
- Supply business office with Fixed Asset forms, and track Fixed Assets information.
- Recommend materials to be purged, mended,replaced, or exchanged. Keep inventory on supplies, equipment, and testing materials. Track testing kits checked out to Special EdStaff.
- Maintain the InventoryDatabase for Special Services. Prepare an Annual InventoryReport for all Sp. Ed. Staff.

**Other**
- Answer and respond to incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documentsto appropriate staff.
- Maintain and/or create spreadsheets, databases, and general office documents
- Enter requisition for newequipment and materials upon approval of the Director.
- Enter and track purchase orders, send invoices/statementsfor payment.
- Order suppliesfor office and support staff.
- Maintain confidentialityof information.
- Maintain the district’sCPI Database. Includestracking supplies, files, making sure test is mail to companyanddistributeparticipant’s completion cards.
- Other duties as assigned.
