Description:
The **Human Resource Generalist** is responsible for performing a broad range of Human Resources functions, including but not limited to the following: benefit administration, recruitment, onboarding, managing LOA's, and communicating company policies and practices.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Processes qualifying life event enrollment or termination of benefits changes; audits, researchs, and corrects enrollment or deduction issues.
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information, ensures accurate record-keeping, and proper deductions.
- Monthly reconciliations of benefit statements and payroll audits.
- Partner with HR team to manage annual benefit open enrollment process, employee questions and benefit system support.
- Assists employees with new hire benefits enrollment and plan changes.
- Responds to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Builds and maintains working relationships with the benefits brokers, carriers, and employees.
- Understand and interpret/communicate all human resources policies to employees.
- Facilitates new hire onboarding and orients new hires.
- Consults with employees requesting a leave of absence; researches and determines eligibility, and notifies employees of leave of rights under applicable Federal and State options.
- Creates and distributes required forms, letters and documentation; maintains confidential files and collects all required leave documentation.
- Tracks medical certification, leave accruals, and return to work dates; serves as point of contact for employees on leave.
- Provide support to managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Provide support to payroll process; auditing time sheets and data entry of hours worked.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Solid HRIS experience, preferably with Paylocity. Understands how to navigate and review data from an HRIS system, run reports, and make intelligent observations from people-data.
- Display well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm, and possesses excellent time management and organizational skills needed to prioritize tasks effectively, and handle multiple deadlines.
- Knowledgeable and stays abreast of all California labor law updates and can simplify explanation to managers and employees.

**_ Education and Experience:_**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in HR roles, showcasing expertise in benefits, recruitment, and HR processes.
- At least three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP a plus.

**_ Physical Requirements:_**
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times.
- Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers to operate computer and other office equipment.
