**Pharmacy Med History Tech Full Time Days Position Summary**

The individual in this position will assist in preparing, packaging, delivering, and charging of medication orders, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

**Position duties include the following activities**:
The individual in this position acts under the direct supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist, is responsible for obtaining a patient’s complete medication history through communication with the patient, family, and/or other resources and documenting it in the medical record. Ability to cross train and preform pharmacy department’s other technician duties, including those of Pharmacy Technician l and ll.

**THE PHARMACY TECH III FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.**

**MINIMUM EDUCATION**: High School Diploma or equivalent GED

**PREFERRED EDUCATION**: Completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program or pharmacy technician experience.

**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE**:Three (3) years of retail pharmacy experience.

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**: Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred with training and experience in sterile (IV) compounding, including chemotherapy preparations. Good organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer skills preferred.

**REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE**:Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technician certification.

**SCHEDULE**: 9AM-7PM, 7 ON 7 OFF
