**Responsibilities**:
**Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital **provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PVBH is an 84-bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. PVBH has an excellent reputation as an innovative hospital with caring, dedicated staff, experienced in the delivery of behavioral healthcare. Situated in Tucson, AZ, at the base of the Catalina Foothills, PVBH is minutes to Saguaro National Park and the University of Arizona.

**The Biller/Collector** is a key member of the Patient Financial Services who is responsible for the billing, follow-up and collection of assigned patient accounts. The position contacts patients, insurance companies and third-party payers.

Qualifications:
**Education**: High School diploma or GED

**Experience**: Minimum of 1 years’ experience in healthcare collections or similar experience. Prior billing experience, computer and business software programs (Excel) preferred.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITON**:

- Must be able to demonstrate special training, knowledge and skills specific to age groups, as well as job and/or program specific competency within the first three (3) months of training, and annually thereafter.
- Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter.
- Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance
