Overview:
**Position Summary**: The Patient Services Rep I provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments.
**Minimum Qualifications**: 1-year experience in medical front office setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Excellent telephone manner and ability to deal effectively with the public.
- Basic knowledge of computers, filing and organizational skills.
- Customer Service Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Familiarity with insurnaces preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
**Education/Licensure/Certifications**: High school diploma or GED required.
