Elder Pine Brewing & Blending Co is a growing farm brewery located in the agricultural reserve of Montgomery County. We are an award-winning brewery that focuses on producing the highest quality clean beer and mixed-culture beer. We operate a three-vessel 15bbl ABE brewhouse with seven 30bbl fermenters, four 30bbl brite tanks and one 30bbl foeder. We package beer on a seven-head ABE canning line with depalletizer and labeler as well as a tabletop four-head Xpress Fill bottle filler for mixed-culture projects.

The Brewer / Cellar Technician will report directly to the Head Brewer. Training will start in the cellar and then transition to the brewhouse.

**Brewer/Cellar Technician Responsibilities**:

- Including But Not Limited To:_
- Wort production on a three-vessel 15bbl ABE brewhouse
- Maintaining proper and accurate brew house and cellar records
- Keen attention, cleanliness and organizational details throughout the facility
- CIP/SIP of all brewery vessels; brewhouse, FVs, BTs, yeast brinks, etc.
- Wort and beer transferring operations
- Yeast harvest, pitching and viability management
- Washing kegs on ABE Keg Commander semi-automated keg washer
- Monitor brite beer carbonation and fill kegs
- Aid on canning/bottling line when necessary
- Keen sense of avoiding cross-contamination between clean and mixed-culture beers
- Keen sense of water usage minimization (we are on a well and septic system)
- Empty and fill oak barrels
- Fermentation monitoring
- Basic facilities maintenance (water filter/softener, air compressor, etc)
- Strictly adhere to all production and safety SOPs
- Wear proper PPE

**Desired Qualifications**
- At least 2 years of commercial brewing experience in a production/packaging brewery
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an orderly fashion
- Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
- Able to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities
- Effectively communicate with team

**Must Be Able To**
- Lift 55 lbs regularly and move up to 165 lbs on occasion
- Stay on their feet for 8-10 hours per day
- Operate a forklift and heavy machinery
- Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
- Handling of hazardous materials; cleaning chemicals

**Compensation, Benefits & Perks**
- Brewer / Cellar Technician Pay Range: $42,000 - $50,000 per year depending on experience
