In Room Dining Agent

**Job Overview**:
The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa is looking for a prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all requests for guest room In-Room Dining services, changes, and cancellations in accordance with established standards and/or scripts. The In-room Dining Agent will respond to and provide information on In-Room dining. **Hotel Experience Required.**
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assists by telephone guests/clients with room service orders.
- Always calls the guest by name and answer the telephone in a friendly manner using clear, verbal communication.
- Listens to callers to understand inquires and requests.
- Takes all information accurately and complete.
- Always obtains prospective guests' name, room number and how many people you are serving.
- Creates, receives and visually inspects guest checks for any inaccuracies, then closes the check to the proper method of payment. (i.e., cash, credit card, room charge, house charge etc.)
- Displays a complete knowledge of all menu items.
- Make recommendation to up-sell food order
- Process cancellations, revisions and information updates on changes; process guest orders requests within the system.
- Stay abreast of current rates, rate changes and all promotions.
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction. Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Notify sales of any group bookings.
- May assist with other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays and extended hours during the FOL season

The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting and may be modified in the future. **Note**: No amount of pay is wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law, regulations, or relevant ordinances.
