**Job Title**:Summer Tennis Camp Instructor

**Location**: Various locations in the Bay Area (Fremont, Los Altos, Mountain View, Menlo Park, San Carlos, Palo Alto, San Mateo, Milpitas, Castro Valley, Saratoga, Campbell, Santa Clara, and Hayward)

**Camp Hours**: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (with aftercare camp hours available from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

**Duration**: Beginning of June to end of August

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Class Management**:

- Manage a class of 8 - 16 students (ages 5-10) for after-school tennis programs.
- Manage a class of up to 8 students (ages 3 and up) for group clinics.

**Teaching**:

- Instruct tennis classes using provided lesson plans.

**Training and Preparation**:

- Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program.
- Transport tennis equipment to and from class.
- Set up the tennis equipment.

**Administrative Tasks**:

- Take attendance and sign in and sign out students for each class.
- Interact with parents and school office staff as needed.
- Provide feedback to the parents about the progress for each student by the end of the session.

**Documentation**:

- Take a few pictures each session of kids in action.

**Requirements**:

- Teaching or playing experience in tennis is preferred but not mandatory.
- USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
- Enjoy working with kids and can manage a class in a professional manner.
- Applicants should demonstrate flexibility, reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and an enthusiastic work approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resilient, positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team.
- Must have reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
- Passion for creating a positive and inclusive environment for children to thrive.
- Willingness to undergo a live scan background check prior to working.
- Must be vaccinated
