Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager to join our team and work within the Landlord Tenant Court system to provide advocacy and support to those facing a possible eviction. As a Case Manager for Eviction Diversion, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals and families in need. The Eviction Diversion program at Family Promise of Sussex County serves Vicinage 10: Sussex and Morris County. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized service plans
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients facing difficult situations
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and services
- Advocate for clients' rights and ensure they receive appropriate assistance
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as attorneys, social workers and landlords
- Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to service plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
- Stay informed about Fair Housing regulations, program, Section 8 housing, and other relevant housing programs
- Utilize data collection software required by funders

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Knowledge of social work principles, crisis intervention techniques, and motivational interviewing
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing, and other housing assistance programs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to negotiate effectively with landlords, service providers, and community agencies
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards clients

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
