Position: Bartender/Cashier/Server

Reports to: Hospitality Manager

Starting Wage: $16 - $18 per hour (depending on experience) + TIPS ELIGIBLE

**Position Summary**
Bartender/Cashier/Servers at Sudwerk Brewing Company are positive, welcoming, craft beer and cocktail connoisseurs that lead with a customer-first mindset. They provide excellent customer service, extensive details into our craft beers ad cocktail program, and have a passion for customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Warmly greet guests, provide accurate wait times as needed, take guest orders directly at the bar, and guide customers through the ordering experience.
- Notify management of any wait times that have exceeded the time quoted, special guest needs or requests, large party execution needs and guest complaints.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and laws, including health and safety standards.
- Perform station opening/closing duties on each shift, including set up/break down and continual maintenance of front entrance area.
- Understand restaurant seating and table layout, and how tables are divided into server areas.
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
- Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Answer phone calls to communicate wait times, take reservations, and answer basic questions for guests.
- Maintain knowledgeable of restaurant drinks menu and food items and other products offered.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Knowledge or interest in the restaurant and brewery industry
- Basic understanding of the restaurant business
- Ability to follow instruction and complete tasks in a timely, positive manner
- Customer service mindset
- “All hands-on deck” mentality
- Able to multitask and prioritize
- Outgoing, sociable and customer experience focused
- Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Have a current Food Handler’s Card where applicable, or ability obtain within 14 days after hire.
- Have a current ABC Responsible Beverage Server Certification, or ability to obtain within 14 days after hire.
- Has a team first mindset to create a collaborative environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours)
- Ability to lift 35 or more lbs.
- Available for flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
