Job Summary:
The Gardener will perform all maintenance of the grounds and landscape of the hotel and/or apartment facilities, maintaining a clean and appealing outside appearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain safe and clean grounds of the hotel and/or apartment facilities
- Clean and sweep the parking lot, sidewalk areas and upkeep the curbside appeal
- Cut, prune and water the lawn and plants as necessary and dispose of the trimmings
- Empty all trash cans on a daily basis and ensure placement in designated waste areas
- Monitor and recycle waste materials
- Maintain a clean appearance in all communal areas
- Maintain landscape areas to include routine raking, weeding, trimming, planting, watering and lawn mowing
- Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
- Follow procedures that ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, etc.
- Replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimizes waste
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- Assist the Maintenance staff with other duties as necessary
- Promote positive customer experience by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude and offering residents a helping hand
- Hardscape work as needed
- Landscape plumbing and low voltage repairs as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- One (1) year of experience in property management groundskeeping/landscaping/general maintenance
- Ability to follow directions and training, but work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience operating maintenance machinery and knowledge of handling various tools

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to move and lift large, bulky and/or heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, repetitive bending, and other physical activities
