- Monitors and enforces all HACCP programs.
- Manages and monitors shipping, Receiving, & Warehousing policies, programs, and procedures and develops and implements standard operating procedures as needed.
- Accountable for the security of inventory through system transaction / documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review.
- Oversees the daily operations of receiving, warehousing, staging, and shipping.
- Monitors warehouse capacity of stored finished goods and packaging and raw ingredients.
- Ensures receiving is compliant and follows SOP as control measures for ensuring the facilities does not adversely effect ingredient, allergen cross contamination, packaging material, and safety.
- Motivates, evaluates, and trains subordinates on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Conducts disciplines employees, as needed.
- Ensures weekly safety trainings and meetings are attended and training completed.
- Attends weekly planner/scheduling meeting and other meetings as directed by Distribution Manager.
- Monitors, reviews, and approves employee time sheets on a weekly basis.
- Conducts performance reviews in a timely manner.
- Enforces all company rules in a fair and consistent manner.
- Evaluates procedures, systems, resources, and equipment to identify any deficiencies and implement departmental process improvements.
- Reports any food safety or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
- Follows J&J Snack Food’s all OSHA safety rules Food Safety Plan (FSP), the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
- Other duties as assigned.

**Food Quality and Safety Requirements**:

- Manager will be responsible for maintaining food quality and safety within the plant.
- Food quality and safety issues must be reported to Quality Assurance Manager and or Distribution Manager.
- In the absence of the Quality Assurance Distribution Manager, food quality and safety issues will be brought to the attention of the General Manager.

**Technical knowledge and skills**:

- Working knowledge of shipping/receiving practices.
- Must be knowledgeable in GMP’s, Food Defense & Safety, HAACP, and Inventory Systems Management.
- Requires computer skills using PC and WMS software to perform job duties. Proficiency in Excel is a plus.
- Familiarity with computerized and manual inventory practices.
- Good understanding of RF scanners and OSHA regulations relating to forklift operation.
- Forklift operator license required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, sales personnel, and customers.
- Ability to calculate figures, and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, mass and volume.
- Works independently as well as across teams from fulfillment and manufacturing.
- Works with all department heads and attends management meetings.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situation and documentation.
- Ability to manage small projects.
- Consistently meet deadlines.
- Develops written procedures for improvements that increase department efficiency.
- Bilingual skills in both English and Spanish preferred.
- Production and warehouse experience preferred.

**Education and training**:
High school diploma or GED. Post high school courses, AA, or BS in related field preferred.

**Job-related experience**:
Minimum 4 years’ supervisory/management experience in Food Industry preferably, Food Warehouse, Distribution, and Operations.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
