**Summary**

Health (H), Safety (S) & Environment (E) Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, implementing and maintaining a variety of H,S & E programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations. This role is a stickler for details and ensuring the team members work in compliance with all policies and procedures which support certification to ISO-14001:2015. This role is highly visible within the business and shall actively participate in Gemba’s and work with other department managers, supervisors, and team members to ensure compliance.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintains policies, procedures, records, programs and reporting related to health, safety &
- environment (HSE) practices and requirements.
- Ensures all federal, state and local HSE laws, codes and regulations are observed and followed.
- Stays current on code and/or regulation changes and recommend updates to policies and procedures as appropriate.
- Communicate and train employees on HSE requirements.
- Serves as the ISO 14001:2015 site representative.
- Able to communicate policy clearly and efficiently while working collectively to resolve issues within the work environments.
- Ensures work environments are safe, organized, and meet legal obligations.
- Performs other duties as required and/or requested.
- Maintain emergency response plans and respond to emergencies as needed.

- Ability to read and interpret government documents.
- Ability to write reports in compliance with plant, customer and/or regulatory requirements.

**Education and/or Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, health & safety, or a related field.
- Direct related experience is a plus but not required.

**Language Skills**

English is the primary language.

**Other Qualifications **(not required but helpful)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

**Work Environment**
- This role is visible primarily on the manufacturing floor. Manufacturing is impacted by environmental conditions to include colder working temperatures in the winter and extreme heat in the summer. Standing and walking in excess of 5+ hours. Noise levels may be elevated in some work centers, protective shoes and visual protection required, PPE is available and provided by the company.
- Office is environmentally controlled. 3 or less hours of sitting in meetings and working on a computer.
- Able to carry/move up to 35 lbs safely.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
