We are looking for a Site Superintendent to join our fast-growing organization. You will be a key team member in the project execution department of an exciting agricultural construction company. This position will be responsible for delivering to the customer a high quality and well-functioning finished project. This will culminate from an understanding of the project and equipment design, oversite of subcontractors, strong industry knowledge, and uplifting communication with all parties involved.

A successful individual in this position will have knowledge of the construction industry, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail and follow-up. We are looking for a humble approach with patience and excitement for construction and agriculture. It’s also important that you have a self-motivated attitude, and a desire to grow in order to meet the daily demands of this role. The site superintendent will need to grow and maintain positive relationships with internal team members, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure the GroffJulius experience is positive for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that the GroffJulius Process is achieved and maintained
- Create a safety culture where safety is ingrained in all processes, led by example.
- Ensure that 100% of all GJ and customer safety policies, procedures, and practices are followed.
- Track and manage the safety training needs for subcontractors before they arrive on site.
- Conduct safety training when necessary.
- Lead Construction Processes.
- Manage efficient use of rental equipment and cranes.
- Maintain constant awareness of active project schedules.
- Alert potential schedule changes or challenges to subcontractor and GJ project managers.
- First line of defense for change orders. This role is responsible for asking subcontractors to quickly communicate any costs exceeding the original estimate.
- Solution oriented approach to handling daily problems and challenges in a calm and efficient manner.
- A strong understanding of the project design, plans, approval drawings, construction prints, etc
- Provide review and feedback to the design department regarding construction print details.
- Be the expert in equipment installation and function.
- Quality control checks at regular intervals through construction.
- Know your contractor’s skill sets and manage oversight according to their abilities, and potential.
- Create a spirit of teamwork and foster an environment of clear expectations, accountability, idea sharing, and appreciation for a job well done.
- Identify training opportunities and work with the Partner team to schedule and provide those trainings.

**Qualifications**:

- Extensive experience in agricultural/industrial large scale construction projects.
- Ability to read and analyze project drawings.
- Advanced knowledge in construction methods such as excavation, structural steel, millwright, etc.
- Proficient in basic fabrication methods.
- Proficient in rigging and hoisting with cranes, mechanical, and electric winches.
- Must be able to climb vertically and work safely at heights in excess of 150 feet.
- Requires standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Physical activity including the ability to lift 75lbs/35kg.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, growing organization.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and have desire to continuously improve organizational processes.
- Experience to anticipate needs of the team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Job Type**: Full-time

Split time between office and active job sites

Frequent out of town travel required - multiple days per week
