Seasonal Room Attendant

**The Grove Hotel is looking for seasonal room attendants for our 63 room property located in Cherry Grove, NY. We are looking for team-players with great attention to detail and the ability to work in an inclusive environment. $500 retention bonus will be extended to staff that remain employed until the end of the season**

**Hotel Room Attendant Job Responsibilities**:

- Performs cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house in a timely manner.
- Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Ensures housekeeping departmental standards are followed.
- Responds timely to guests’ special requests such as, but not limited to extra towels and/or full room housekeeping service.
- Maintains inventory of necessary supplies.
- Reports necessary maintenance items to front desk and direct supervisor.
- Follows departmental policies and procedures.
- Follows all safety and sanitation policies
- Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Performs additional duties as needed.

**Transportation on the Sayville Ferry will be covered by the hotel.**

**Hotel Housekeeper Qualifications / Skills**:

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to turnover rooms quickly and efficiently
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

**Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements**:

- Positive attitude and willingness to be a part of a team
- Previous housekeeping experience a plus, but not required. We will train the right people
- Ability to communicate effectively with the rest of the team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week

Shift:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
