Cornerstone Church is located in beautiful Bluffton, South Carolina and is a non-denominational, gospel-rich, Bible-teaching church that exists to lead people into a life changing relationship with Jesus. Our church family is experiencing rapid growth with an average attendance just under 900 in 2024. We offer wonderful ministries for all ages and stages, as well as vibrant local and global outreach partnerships.

With our growth comes expansion and we are anticipating breaking ground on our new 55,000+ square foot facility that is situated on a picturesque 39-acre main campus with a lagoon, sports fields and walking trails. In addition, we are launching new locations in our region with Hilton Head Island targeted as our next campus launch by the end of 2025. We are looking for someone who wants to join a rapidly growing church and can help prepare us to more than double in size in the next few years.

We are seeking a talented and dynamic individual to join this team as the **Communications Director**. The Communications Director will facilitate creativity, collaboration, and strategic planning as well as be a strong leader, a partner for improvement, and an ambassador for Christ. The Director must be versed in the areas of communications, possess knowledge in Digital Marketing, and have the ability to interpret and implement vision within the digital arena. The Director will play a key role in shaping and implementing communication strategies to engage members, attract guests, and enhance outreach efforts. **WE'RE LOOKING FOR A PERSON WHO**
- Senses God's _calling_ to partner with the church vocationally.
- Demonstrates _character_ consistent with the ideals the New Testament lays out in texts like Galatians 5:22-23 and Colossians 3:12-14.
- Proven _competent_ in the successful execution of communications within an organization.
- Resonates with the vision and _culture_ of Cornerstone Church.
- Shows potential for relational _chemistry_ with the existing leadership team.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to effectively convey the mission, values, and ministries of the church.
- Create and curate engaging content such as videos, graphics, and announcements for various communication channels.
- Submit and process all graphics for ministries and church-wide events, assimilation, sermon series, and worship services. Oversee the design process to the final deliverable stage.
- Collaborate with church staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders to gather information and updates for communication purposes.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries, comments, and messages received through communication channels in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns for special events, programs, and initiatives within the church community and beyond.
- Create forms and QR codes for all registration and assimilation steps.
- Utilize analytics and feedback mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts and make necessary adjustments.
- Create App updates - including weekly message notes and discipleship guides.
- Recruit, train, schedule and support volunteers involved in communication-related tasks, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources.

**REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Previous experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, preferably in a nonprofit or religious organization context.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content and innovative communication ideas.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the church, with sensitivity to the needs and preferences of the congregation.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events or urgent communication needs.
- Familiarity with graphic design principles, video editing, and photography is a plus.
