We are searching for the UpWORDS Parent Education Manager - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will develop and oversee programs within Public Health Pediatrics. Additionally, to successfully create and implement a strategic plan for prevention outreach initiatives, program services, training, and research.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree required in Public Health, Nursing, Health Education, or Education
- Master's Degree preferred
- 3 years healthcare, public health, health education, community health initiatives, injury prevention, speech, language, or early childhood education required
- 6 years preferreed

**Ideal Skills**:

- Experience working within early childhood education, public health, therapy, or parent education programming
- Experience as a supervisor, formal team lead and a formal mentor
- Demonstrate ability to lead changes within an organization throughout their career
- Training and experience in early childhood education, working with children with special needs, and parent education
- Continual development of skills throughout their care
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills
- Demonstrate advanced problem solving abilities

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides day-to-day supervision of FTEs by assigning key responsibilities, projects, and work assignments to ensure that tasks are completed according to established deadlines and expectations.
- Makes administrative approvals such as off-site assignments, time off, and budgetary expenditures to support staffing and programmatic needs.
- Assists team members in identifying, developing, and producing program based on research, parent feedback, and data used in public health models.
- Works with team to evaluate program methods to ensure that the needs of targeted populations are being addressed with respect to age, comprehension abilities, and cultural considerations.
- Assures the overall quality of program and services provided to patients, families, employees and the community.
- Evaluates quality of department programs to ensure that identified goals are being met and established interventions are following best practice guidelines.
- Assesses funding sources of current program and increases grant revenue to expand the scope of services offered by department.
