**Position Summary**:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Contract Specialist.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on contract-related matters and within OGC guidelines
- Review and draft contracts, including vendor agreements, service agreements, master agreements and purchase orders
- Negotiate contract terms with vendors and partners independently or in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing, escalating to the OGC as needed
- Implement, manage and coordinate contract training of internal teams based on OGC guidelines
- Manage contract databases and ensure accurate and timely contract renewals
- Monitor and report on contract performance and compliance
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that contracts align with mission goals
- Contribute to the development and implementation of contract management processes and procedures including the administration of any internal CMS (contract management system)
- Other duties as assigned from time to time

**Minimum Qualifications**:
To qualify you must have a To qualify you must have a minimum of college degree and/or a minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience or equivalent combination.
Strong understanding of contracting principles and practices
Strong critical thinker with the ability to break down and communicate complex issues
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with contract management software
Highly productive with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field
JD is a plus
5+ years of experience in contract review, drafting and management, with a preference for experience within the healthcare industry and/or facilities, IT and professional service contracts

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $124,703.49 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
