Graphic Communications Instructor

Full-Time, Permanent position. As an educator at Bay Path RVTHS you will be expected to provide rigorous instruction to the diverse population of all students in your classroom. You will be expected to align your teaching to the district and state curriculum; to regularly assess students for learning comprehension and to modify your teaching to ensure that students are learning; to provide a classroom that is conducive to the learning needs of all students, especially students who are learning English and students with disabilities.Being an educator at Bay Path will require that you have patience, perseverance, creativity, excellent content knowledge, and a true desire to prepare all students for successful lives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.Implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students.2.Coordinate daily instruction with the existing Graphic Communications instructional team.3.Deliver effective instruction with a strong focus on the Massachusetts Vocational Technical Curriculum Graphic Communications Frameworks and performance standards to students of varying abilities and skill levels.4.Responsible for effective techniques of classroom management/discipline and behavior reinforcement.5.Fulfill department teaming roles such as a mentoring partnership with a professional status colleague.6.Participate effectively in school-wide task forces and academic-vocational integration activities.7.Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.8.Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.WORK YEAR: In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Bay Path Teachers Association and Southern Worcester County Regional Vocational School District.SALARY: Appropriate step on teachers salary schedule.
