The shipping and receiving clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

This is a seasonal position and is expected to run from May through September.

**Essential Functions**: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Unload incoming containers and put away inventory
- Use scanning technology to document carton-level information, including condition, quantity, and location in warehouse
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Ensure product meets quality requirements
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment operating standards
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers

**Physical Demands**: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

**Required Education and Experience**:

- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in a distribution environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math
- Licensed forklift operator is a plus
