**Classroom Teacher (Humanities) **for Contra Costa Christian Schools

**_ Job Summary:_**

High-Quality Instruction
- Deliver instruction and assess student learning based on high-quality unit plans designs that incorporate faith, are aligned with CCCS yearly goals and student outcomes
- Establish and maintain a respectful culture of learning in a well-managed classroom
- Engage and assess student learning through the delivery of daily lessons

Professional Excellence
- Reflect on personal teaching practice in order to develop and grow professionally
- Maintain accurate, timely records of instructional and non-instructional events
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and professional development
- Maintain professional relationship with colleagues and work together for improved instruction and student success

Community Driven
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement and support school activities, including spirit weeks, field trips and chapels
- Build and maintain community relationships with students and families

Mission-Alignment

Additional Responsibilities
- Possible all school event participation and event planning responsibilities

**_ Type of Position:_**

This is a Regular Full-Time Teacher/Salaried position, Classification A in the CCCS Employee Handbook.

**_ Required Personal Qualities:_**
- Personal testimony of Christian faith
- Sign and support the school’s Statement of Faith
- Strong organizational skills; careful attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong communication and negotiating skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Exceptional ability to bridge and enhance cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; flexible, able to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed.

Salary ranges from $53,500 - $70,000 and is dependent upon experience and certifications.

**Requirements**:
**_ Required Professional Qualities:_**
- Hold a State/ACSI Certification or will participate in a program to complete the requirements for certification within a specified time period.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or will participate in a program to complete such a degree within a specified time period
- Possess evidence of other adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined by the Head of School.
