**Overview**:
As a Preconstruction Manager for our client, you will manage preconstruction activities for one or more project pursuits within a District during the pursuit and preconstruction contract phases. This is a growth-oriented role supporting pursuits of diverse heavy civil infrastructure projects in coordination with established teams.

Position can be Hybrid work from home

**What you will be doing**:

- **Project Pursuit Management**:Work closely with the proposal manager, lead estimator, business development manager, and project sponsor to manage project pursuits.
- **Opportunity Identification**:Collaborate with the Business Development team to identify opportunities, recommend partnerships for our client's pursuit, and coordinate partnership teams to submit proposals within prescribed budgets and timelines.
- **Timeline and Deliverables Management**:Develop and manage pursuit timelines and deliverables, ensuring all necessary data and documentation are included in submissions.
- **Cost Savings and Technical Solutions**:Review design schedules and construction plans to identify cost savings opportunities. Work with design managers to develop optimal technical solutions.
- **Client Management Strategy**:Develop and manage project-specific client strategies and maintain effective communication based on contract specifications and the needs of the Owner.
- **Budget and Bid Price Development**:Work with engineers and estimators to develop budgets and secure final bid prices for pursuits.
- **Project Hand-off Support**:Support the transition from bid to construction phases, ensuring seamless execution and meeting client expectations.

**What we are looking for**:

- **Education**:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- **Experience**:At least 10 years in the construction industry, with experience in project pursuits, estimating, project management, or business development. Alternative delivery experience is required.
- **Skills**:Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of cost estimating practices and constructability.
- **Licenses**:Valid driver's license.
