The role of the Quality Control and Assurance Associate is to maintain company’s quality standards. Knowledge of industry and governmental quality regulations is needed to conduct activities involving quality control and assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. This personnel will conduct internal audits, review quality data according to existing documents and procedures, and initiate corrective actions as needed. In addition, this role will champion continuous improvement throughout the organization. Acute attention to detail and regular communication with the management are a must.

**Duties &Responsibilities**
- Manage the Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) process:_
- Conduct in-process Quality Assurance inspections
- Document non-conformances
- Partner with process owners to conduct root cause analysis
- Initiate corrective actions
- Develop preventive action plans
- Implement preventive actions
- Verify effectiveness of preventive actions
- Ensure proper closure of all CAR’s and NCMR’s (non-conforming material report)
- Track closed CAR’s to identify trends & bottlenecks
- Initiate Supplier CAR’s with vendors when nonconforming product is identified and ensure proper closure
- Conduct process audits of internal procedures in accordance with AS9100D standards: _**Review procedures and applicable standards **_Work with Quality manager/consultant to develop a detailed audit plan_
- Conduct audit objectively with high attention to detail
- Probe for details (as needed) to confirm compliance/conformance
- Distinguish between compliance/conformance vs. noncompliance/nonconformance
- Complete a detailed report of audit findings
- Initiate corrective actions (as needed)
- Update project related quality documentations periodically and as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualification**
- At least 1 years of Quality Assurance experience and a strong desire to enter the field of Quality Assurance
- Associate degree in engineer/science or equivalent experience required, B.S. degree in Engineering (or other technical discipline) a plus
- Knowledge and experience in ISO9001 QMS environment, in AS9100D a plus
- Acute attention to detail
- Proficient with MS Office suite (MS Project skills a plus)
- Knowledge of federal and industry regulations such as FAA, OSHA, and EPA and of applicable FAR, DFARS, DLAD a plus
- Project management skills a plus

**Physical Requirements**
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend, squat, reach, and climb on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 35lbs.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
