**Summary**:The BCBA will work school-wide to support positive behavioral outcomes for BRCPS students as assigned by the Director of Student Services. The BCBA will work directly with students and collaborate and work closely with classroom teachers, school Directors, Mental Health Team, CST Coordinator to implement behavior support plans for students. **Major Duties and Responsibilities**:Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) for students with and without disabilitiesFollow through with recommendations made as a result of the FBACollect, maintain and analyze data, and prepare reports for the purposes of documenting case history, assessments and treatmentsOversee implication of behavior support plans, make changes, and collaborate with the teachersSupport teachers that are having trouble with behavior management in the classroomCollaborate with teachers to construct behavior plans for specific students, if neededSupport new teachers in the beginning of the year to discuss behavior management, with highlights about how the BRCPS approaches behavior management and expectationsConduct mid-year check in with new teachers and discuss positive strategies and provide strategies for improvementCollaborate with Child Study Team Coordinator on behavioral referrals Collaborate with school Mental Health team on behavioral referralsProvide professional development on behavior for grades or classes that have a need or interestCollaborate with Mentor program for new teachers and provide professional development and guidance**Qualifications, Education, and Experience**:Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCABA) certification required or ability to obtain within one year of hireMinimum (2) years experience completing comprehensive functional assessments and behavior support plans (required)Bachelors degree in Human Services, Elementary Education (or related major) (required) Masters Degree (Strongly Preferred)Massachusetts teaching certification/licensure, or High Qualified Status (required)Three or more years of successful teaching and working in an urban public school or charterDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with teachers and possess communication skills of listening, oral communication and oral presentationExperience providing professional development for teachersStrong organizational skills
