Milton Academy is an independent college preparatory K-12 school, boarding and day in grades 9-12, located just outside of Boston.

**Summary of Position**:
The Middle School at Milton Academy is seeking a Softball coach for the spring season. Daily practices run from 2:30 p.m.3:30 p.m. and game days are scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays. The season begins on March 4 and concludes on May 24. There are no weekend commitments.

This is a seasonal position for the spring 2024 school year. May be eligible for renewal depending on school needs.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**:

- Organizing practices to help improve fundamental skills and motivating student-athletes.
- Traveling to and from home/away games with the team.
- Communicating with the Middle School Athletic Director throughout the season.
- Providing strategy, physical training, and techniques to help their student-athletes reach individual and team success.

**Required**:Coaching experience that makes training fun, teaches good sportsmanship and basic skills, and gives every child the opportunity to participate.

**Preferred**:Experience coaching middle school level children.

**Physical Abilities**

**Required**:

- Must be able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours each day in conjunction with OSHA requirements.
- Must be able to move around the Milton Academy campus without restriction.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
