**What we are looking for**

SCS Engineers is looking for a Marketing Assistant in the Long Beach office to perform various activities related to environmental consulting. You will support marketing and sales/business development efforts such as client qualifications and proposals, resumes/CVs, and project profiles. You will also maintain company database of customer relations and coordinate trade shows, exhibits, and seminars. This position is based on-site FT in Long Beach.

**How you can make an impact**
- Support the marketing team on customer related tasks such as creating opportunity numbers and registering, maintaining, updating procurement and bid tracking sites.
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials, such as statements of qualifications, proposals, follow-up letters, tailored brochures, blogs and press releases, and media packages. May also assist with client presentations and interviews. Requires formatting in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
- Support collection, maintenance, and updating of marketing data in company accounting software, Vision.
- Support and organize promotional activities such as in-house Business Development meetings, open house parties, speeches, and seminars.
- Track conference milestones, ensuring deadlines for shipping and receiving are met and all materials are in good condition when shipped and received.
- Maintain inventory of booths and promotional items, fulfilling requests for various conferences, but also for marketing and business development purposes for our various offices.
- Make arrangements and payments for exhibit registration, exhibit booth, and promotional materials reservations.
- Support close out process of proposals, ensuring resumes, project profiles, and boilerplate are updated.
- Compile data from questionnaires and other market research and assist in the preparation of market research and analysis.
- Maintain slide and photograph files, resumes, project descriptions, and client and prospective client mailing lists.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or Marketing preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience required, work in a marketing and/or sales environment a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop,etc.) a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License.

Pay range for this position is $24 to $29/HR depending on experience. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
