**Who We’re Looking For**: A motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts well to change. You should possess excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to customer service and safety.
**Qualifications**:
- ** Education**: Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent degree in a Science-related field.
- ** Experience**: 2 to 5 years in the industry, with a focus on asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, and mold/moisture inspections.
- **Skills**: Excellent communication, client management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- ** Certifications**:
- Asbestos: NYC DEP Asbestos Investigator license or ability to obtain *
- Lead: Inspector/Assessor or Sampling Technician preferred.
- Additional certifications like CHMM, 40 Hour HAZWOPER, 10/30 Hour Construction Safety, and CIE/CMI are desirable but not required.
- **Other Requirements**: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, availability for client emergencies during normal business and off-peak hours as necessary, and respond as a member of the Hillmann 24-hour disaster response team and on call schedule.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain certifications and licenses.
- Respond to client emergencies as needed.
- Conduct thorough investigations related to Industrial Hygiene, including indoor air quality, mold/moisture inspections, asbestos surveys, and lead-based paint inspections.
- Develop remediation plans, report findings, and ensure compliance with industry guidelines.
- Collect air samples during asbestos abatement work to verify compliance with local, state and Federal regulations including background, daily and clearance air monitoring; accurately completing project records, log books and chain of custody forms; and timely submission of samples and required project documentation.
- Perform air and bulk sampling according to EPA, OSHA, NIOSH, and industry analytical methods.
- Perform limited asbestos containing material surveys.
- Perform employee exposure monitoring for various environmental hazards.
- Perform other responsibilities as dictated.
