**Boys & Girls Club of Lake County - Curriculum Specialist**

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Lake County seeks a highly motivated and innovative Curriculum Specialist to plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate all curricula provided in program areas, focusing on achieving priority outcomes of Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. This role will also ensure that our programs, services, and activities prepare youth for success while promoting safety and quality.

**What You’ll Do**

The Curriculum Specialist, who reports to the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for the following:

- Directing club-wide operations of various programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Planning, supervising, and evaluating all curriculum provided in program areas, fostering Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.
- Developing an ongoing, comprehensive six-month curriculum and program schedule in advance, ensuring regular updates and adjustments align with the organizational objectives and member needs.
- Researching and suggesting new curriculums with the approval of the COO, providing ongoing training and support as needed.
- Ensuring quality improvement by monitoring and evaluating curriculum achievement, recommending modifications based on member needs and interests, and participating in weekly site director meetings.
- Overseeing inventory of all curriculum equipment, technology, and supplies, recommending requisitions as necessary and controlling expenditures against the monthly supply budget.
- Administering new and ongoing curriculums by providing continuous training at both administrative and site levels.
- Recruiting and training assigned volunteers and staff, providing ongoing feedback, and identifying development opportunities.
- Maintaining close, daily contact with club staff, members, and supervisors to exchange information, discuss issues, provide instructions, and offer counsel.
- Establishing contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents, and others to assist in resolving problems and strengthen community partnerships.

- Communication and Collaboration: Your daily engagement with club staff, members, and external stakeholders strengthens community partnerships and facilitates the resolution of challenges, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for all involved parties.

**Required Experience and Qualifications**
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and expertise in Youth Development, Psychology, or K-12 Education and Supportive Services
- At least 4 years of non-profit/government coordinating similar programs.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/assignments and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning in education, human or social services, or a related field of study
- Flexibility in schedule with ability to support sites as needed.
- Ability to travel between sites and within and outside the community as necessary.

**Preferred Experience and Qualifications**
- Previous Experience working in the Lake County Community
- Master’s Degree in Relevant Field
