**GENERAL PURPOSE**:
The Parks Crew Chief, under direct supervision of the Parks Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for maintaining the parks, trails, and in and around the Dean and Barbara White Community Center.

**DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have prior experience with snow removal and lawn maintenance.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Supervise the parks maintenance crew.
- Maintain inventory of all equipment and supplies needed and used, including keys.
- Engage in a wide variety of tasks, such as snow removal, cutting grass with commercial mowers, weed removal, and trimming trees, shrubs, and branches.
- Inspect lots and collect debris.
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor and the Building Manager as needed.
- Report any damage, deterioration, or maintenance needed to the Supervisor.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
- Must work cooperatively on a work crew, and also have the ability to work independently.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.
- Other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor as deemed necessary.

**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to reach overhead, above the shoulder, and horizontally.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, squat, sit, stand, and walk.
- Lifting and carrying heavy objects - 100 lb. minimum.

Pay: $15.30 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
