Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and processing semi-monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The role is based in person in Brea, California.
**Responsibilities**:
- Process semi-monthly payroll
- Verify timekeeping records to ensure they comply with established standards and regulations
- Review and verify new hire data in Paycom
- Enter and process garnishments
- Complete employment verifications
- Prepare payroll reports
- Provide support to employees regarding payroll related inquiries
- Process all employment related paperwork, employee changes and employee separations
- Ensure data accuracy in HRIS system and complete routine audits as directed
- Assist with benefits administration
- Assist with HR compliance activities
- Participate in special HR projects
**Skills**:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Paycom preferred
- Experience with payroll reporting

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
- At least 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing
- 1-2 years of experience using Paycom preferred
- Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll laws
