The Hideout Kitchen opened its doors in 2015 under the Culinary and operational leadership of Chef/Owner JB Balingit. Serving California comfort cuisine, craft cocktails and vibrant entertainment in a refined yet comfortable setting.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
**Leadership and Team Management**:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of restaurant staff to ensure high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages open communication, collaboration, and professional development.
**Operations Management**:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing schedules, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food quality standards, and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, such as revenue, costs, and profitability, and implement strategies to achieve targets and maximize efficiency.
**Guest Service Excellence**:
- Uphold the highest standards of guest service and hospitality to create memorable dining experiences for guests.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively to resolve issues and maintain guest satisfaction.
- Implement initiatives to attract new guests and retain existing ones, such as loyalty programs, special promotions, and community engagement.
**Quality Control**:
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes through regular inspections and quality control measures.
**Financial Management**:
- Support the development of and manage the restaurant budget, including revenue forecasts, expense tracking, and cost-control measures.
- Monitor and analyze sales trends, labor costs, and inventory levels to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and business insights.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry. Minimum of 3 years.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, kitchen management, and guest service best practices.
- Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and cost-control techniques.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe).
**Physical and other requirements**:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to be on feet for long periods of time (7+ hours)
- Must be able to read and write in correct grammatical structure
- Ability to speak Spanish a plus
