**Job Overview**:
Termite inspectors play a crucial role in protecting properties from termite damage by conducting thorough inspections, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate treatment strategies. Their expertise helps property owners make informed decisions about termite prevention and control, ultimately safeguarding the structural integrity of buildings and ensuring customer satisfaction.

**1. Inspection Duties**:

- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, including homes, offices, and other structures, to determine the presence of termites or other wood-destroying organisms.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to inspect various areas of the structure, including basements, crawl spaces, attics, and foundation areas.
- Identify signs of termite activity, such as mud tubes, damaged wood, termite droppings (frass), or discarded wings.
- Assess the extent of termite infestation and the severity of damage to the structure.
- Inspect surrounding landscapes and structures for conditions conducive to termite infestation, such as excessive moisture, wood-to-soil contact, or untreated wood.

**2. Documentation and Reporting**:

- Document inspection findings, including photographs, sketches, and detailed notes.
- Prepare written reports outlining inspection results, including the presence of termites, extent of damage, and recommended treatment options.
- Communicate inspection findings and recommendations to property owners, real estate agents, or other relevant parties in a clear and professional manner.

**3. Customer Service**:

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, answering questions, and explaining inspection findings and treatment options.
- Educate property owners about termite prevention measures and strategies to minimize the risk of infestation in the future.
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any additional concerns or questions they may have.

**4. Compliance and Regulations**:

- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations governing termite inspections and pest control practices.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in termite detection and treatment.
- Maintain appropriate licensing and certification requirements as mandated by regulatory agencies.

**5. Collaboration**:

- Coordinate with pest control technicians or exterminators to develop treatment plans based on inspection findings.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as real estate agents, home inspectors, or property managers, to facilitate property transactions and address termite-related issues.

**6. Safety and Equipment Maintenance**:

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others during inspections.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Properly handle and dispose of any chemicals or pesticides used during inspections or treatments in accordance with safety regulations.

**7. Administrative Tasks**:

- Perform administrative tasks related to scheduling appointments, maintaining inspection records, and managing client information.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, reports, and correspondence for future reference.

**Qualifications**:

- A SPCB Branch 3 license
- At least 2 years of termite and pest control industry sales experience
- A valid driver's license with a good DMV record
- The ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Works successfully without requiring close supervision
- Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs on a regular basis
- Must be able to climb and work from a ladder
- Must be willing to enter crawl spaces, attics, and other areas to ensure an effective treatment.
- Wood repair experience such as replacing facias.
- Primer and paint to match home

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
