**_ Locomotive Painter_**

**Key Job Elements**:

- Prepare and paint locomotive and locomotive components.
- Wash & clean locomotive and locomotives components.
- Prep locomotive and components before painting.
- Paint and clear coat locomotives and components.
- Installation of decals.
- Work with little or no supervision consistently, accurately, and safely.
- Read precision instruments, micrometers, and gauges accurately, and safely.
- Keep work area clean and organized consistently and safely.
- Complete and document jobs in a timely manner per traveler requirements/ QWI's/ Work

instructions consistently, accurately, and safely.
**Experience using the following equipment**:

- Electric and Air operated hand tools.
- 5-gallon Paint pots.
- Bobcat, Forklifts and Man lifts.
- Industrial pressure washer.
- Full face respirator with filter or fresh air.
- Other equipment and tools.

**Education Requirements**:

- High School Education or GED

**Qualifications, Experience, & Certifications**:

- Prefer Certification in Industrial paint or Auto Body collision experience preferred.
- Ability to work around and operate Overhead Cranes and Mobile Equipment.
- Ability to utilize Pressure washers, Pressurized paint delivery systems, and other equipment.
- Must use a Full-face respirator with filter or fresh air.

**Skills, Licenses, Certification, and/or Special Training**:

- Must maintain a valid state driver's license if required to operate company equipment.
- Meet and maintain all requirements contained in the Conditions of Employment policy.

Physical, Mental & Sensory Requirements:

- Ability to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements,

including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions.
- Ability to frequently climb, using various types of ladders, to heights in excess of 16 feet.
- Ability to occasionally lift above shoulder height a weight of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally work in confined spaces.
- Ability to frequently hold 30 lbs. while squatting and sustaining extreme vibration of impact

wrench.
- Ability to frequently bend at waist crouch for extended periods of time
- Ability to frequently use bending, twisting, walking motions on uneven surfaces throughout

the entire work shift.
