Empath Health is currently seeking a Assistant Manager, Treasures Resale Store to join our team.

**Primary tasks, duties, and responsibilities**:
Promotes and practices the mission and values and follows the policies and procedures of Tidewell Hospice.
- Plans and executes sales and donations under the direction of the manager.
- Ensures and coordinates the process for donations, calls, coordination of donation calls, assists in pick ups and issuing donation receipts.
- Assists manager and volunteers in display and pricing of merchandise.
- Supports manager in maintaining volunteer and customer compliance with store policies and procedures.
- Assists manager in planning work schedules for volunteers and assigning staff to specific duties.
- Responds courteously to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
- Responds to critical incidents such as fire, robbery, shoplifting, weather events, personnel or volunteer injury reports according to policy.
- Assists manager in implementing store policies and procedures to ensure profitability of store operations.

**Secondary Responsibilities**:
Every incidental duty connected with the Assistant Manager, Retail Store cannot be specified in the job description and the colleague, at the discretion of the Resale Store Manager, may be required to perform duties that are not included in this job description.

**Educational/Professional**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a retail or thrift store.
- Previous experience supervising volunteers preferred.
- Ability to work as a member of a team as well as being able to work independently.
- Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Possess a valid Florida driver’s license and current auto insurance; ability to travel throughout the service area.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**:

- Exceptional customer services skills and aptitude.
- Ability to work as a member of a team as well as being able to work independently.
- Ability to assign, schedule, and manage a volunteer workforce.
- Ability to assess items for resale and to determine pricing.
- Must be able to create displays and present resale shop in the image that best represents Tidewell to the community.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with the general public and with all levels of the organization.
- Must be flexible, able to meet deadlines and have excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to analyze, organize and prioritize work; problem solve and efficiently coordinate multiple projects under the pressure of deadlines.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency with proprietary software and cash register within 60 days.
- Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Possess and maintain current Florida driver’s license and valid auto insurance required by state law.

**Physical Requirements**:
While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is required to stand and walk for extended time periods. Position requires use of computer keyboard; ability to visually read information off of a computer monitors; orally communicate information over the telephone and in person; and hear. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and lift 50 pounds frequently; up to 75 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by the job includes close vision and color vision, and ability to drive during day and nighttime hours in all weather conditions. May be exposed to strong and/or offensive scents.

**Machines/Equipment, Tools Used**:Personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, Proprietary Software (e.g. Volgistics Volunteer Database, Timekeeping), Phone/Fax, Cash register, credit card machine, 10-key calculator, copier/scanner, company vehicle, and general cleaning supplies.
